I studied Physics at Università degli Studi di Padova, Italy. I studied for the Part III Maths in Cambridge in 2002, and received a Ph.D. in theoretical physics in Damtp in 2005, with Gary Gibbons as supervisor. In 2010 I became member of the Physics Department at the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP), MG, Brazil. Before joining UFOP I worked in the City of London: first I was in UBS in the exotic interest rates trading group from 2005 to 2008, then in Credit Suisse in the longevity and mortality trading group from 2008 to 2010, and then briefly in Deutsche Bank again in the longevity and mortality trading group before moving to Brazil.
